Lula, born on December 31, 1935, was the third of eight children born to the late Joseph Lee and Annie B. (Miller) Williams in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

On August 21, 2026, the Master beckoned Lula to come home. Her assignment on earth was finished. She responded to his call and is now peacefully resting in the arms of her Savior, free from all the trials and tribulations of the world.

She is survived by her daughter Anne L. Whitlock and grandson, Bryson G. Williams of Bastrop, TX; three sisters Rosetta McNair of Ft. Washington, MD, Mariah Williams of White Plains, MD and Thomasine Williams of Accokeek, MD; Aunts Emma Mallisham Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL and Betty June Spencer of San Diego, CA; many nieces, nephews, cousin and host of other relatives and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lee and Annie B. (Miller) Williams, and four siblings: Alabama, Delaware, Joseph Williams, Jr., and Beatrice Williams Madison.
