The Reverend Dr. Ivory Junior Griskell, age 50, of Madison, Mississippi was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on April 7, 1966.  He transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2016.

Dr. Griskell was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He served as a degreed IT Professional with over twenty-five years of combined corporate industry and higher education experiences. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Stillman College in 1988, Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Auburn University in 1991, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Kennedy Western University in 2004. He was a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity, Incorporated.

Dr. Griskell's love of God was unparalleled, uncompromised , and anchored in His Word. He was a firm believer in the power of prayer and stood out to all who knew him as a man after God's own heart. There was never any question as to Who he served and Who he belonged to. He was a son of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Canton, Mississippi.

Survivors include his loving wife, Gwendolyn Joyce Griskell, and his five children, Ivory II, Alexander, Chanteliese, Ashanta, and Evan.
